Quotes vary from job to job. It is possible the final cost of your project will be higher or lower than what was agreed upon initially. Variations made to the plan have an impact on the final product, whether this is a new finish, colour scheme or material. Another thing to keep in mind is provisional sums and prime costs, which are allowances in the contract price for aspects that have not yet been confirmed. Maybe you allowed five hundred dollars of prime costs for a bathtub, but you sourced one yourself for more or for less than that amount. Provisional sums are labour estimates, and if the build runs ahead or behind schedule this can change. All these things add up, and while we strive to give you an all-encompassing quote, the final sum is dependent on a range of factors, which can't all be controlled.
